Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is developing the four-laning of 220 km Pathankot-Mandi national highway (NH) connecting Pathankot with Leh. Bids have already been invited by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the construction is likely to begin by the end of May 2016. Foundation stone of the project will be laid in May or June 2016.
