Inland Waterways Authority of India is planning to develop the Waterway 4 project in Andhra Pradesh to help take off roads significant portion of cargo traffic. The project is estimated to cost Rs.30000 million. As of April 2016, Inland Waterways Authority of India has signed an MoU with inland water transport department , Government of Andhra Pradesh.
