Century Plyboards is planning to set up a medium density fibreboards manufacturing unit in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. The project involves setting up aunit to manufacture 1.98 lakh cubic metres per year capacity of MDF. The unit will also manufacture plywood and block board unit with an initial capacity of 17,000 cubic metres. The company has purchased 32 acres of private land for the project. The cost of the project is 4400 million. As of April 2016, the company has obtained permission for setting up the plywood manufacturing unit. The project is expected to be completed before April 2017.
