National Highways Authority of India is planning to take up rehabilitation & upgradation to four-laning of Angul-Sambalpur Section of NH-42 (New NH-55) from km 112.000 to 265.000. The project is estimated to cost Rs.18483.7 million. The project is scheduled to be completed in 30 months. As of April 2016 NHAI has invited bids for executing the project under NHDP-IV on EPC mode.
