Visakhapatnam Port Road Company, a joint venture between Visakhapatnam Port Trust and National Highways Authority of India is planning to widen its highway project. The project involves extension of the existing two-lane road to NH-16 into four-lane with an investment of Rs.1000 million. As of April 2016, the company has signed an MoU with The Visakhapatnam Port Trust for executing the project on Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode.
