'SP Ports, a Shapoorji Pallonji group and HPCL are jointly planning to set up a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal at Chhara in Gujarat's Junagadh district. It may be noted that SP Ports is already developing a greenfield, all weather, direct berthing port in Junagadh district. As of July 2013, HPCL and SP Ports are carrying out a detailed feasibility study for establishing technical and commercial viability of setting up a LNG import and regasification terminal. The joint venture agreement is to be signed shortly.
