Jindal Stainless is planning to set up a new new Chromite mine at Village Kaliapani, Sukinda Tehsil in Jajpur district of Odisha. The project involves Opencast mechanized mining project with drilling and blasting for the maximum production of 2,15,000 tonnes/annum of Chrome Ore. As of May 2016, environment clearance for the project is underway.
