National Highways Authority of India is planning to take up four laning of Shimla Bypass (Kaithlighat to Shimla section) on National Highway-22 in Himachal Pradesh. The total length of the road will be approximately 28 kms. This work will be under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase-III. The approval is in Hybrid Annuity Mode. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 15831.8 million. As of May 2016, the project has been cleared by Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.
