Indian Rare Earths is planning to set up a Titanium Slag Project at Chhatrapur in Odisha's Ganjam district in joint venture with Nalco. The proposed will have a processing capacity of 1.0 million tpa. The project is estimated to cost Rs.7500 million. Few months ago, Indian Rare Earths had prepared a pre feasibility report and had invited floated Expression of Interest for technology supply for the project. Since no global technology supplier evinced interest, Nalco has joined the project to identify technology suppliers for the project.
