Godrej Appliances taking up an expansion programme at its white goods production unit at Shirwal, 50 km from Pune. The project involves increasing the capacity of refrigerators from 30 lakh to 32 lakh per annum and washing machines from 4 lakh to 10 lakh per annum. The project is estimated to cost Rs.1000 million. As of May 2016, work on the project has commenced.
