National Highways Authority of India is planning to take up Rehabilitation & upgradation to four laning of Singhara to Binjhabahal section from km 311.000 to 414.000 (design chainage km 310.806 to 414.982) of NH-6 (New NH-49). The project is estimated to cost Rs.10357.8 million. As of June 2016, NHAI has invited bids to execute the project under NHDP-IV, on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).
