Alaknanda Sponge Iron is planning to take expansion of TMT Bars Manufacturing Unit at Durgapur. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 840.5 million. The project comprises Induction Furnace(2 no 20 MT), M.S. Billets (112800 TPA), Rolling mill (100000 TPA) and Ladle Refining Furnace ( 25MT). As of July 2016, environment clearance for the project is underway.
