Hindustan Copper is planning to expand its copper plant in Jhagadia. The unit was acquired from ARCIL in the year 2009. Presently the scrap plant produces 25,000 TPA of copper. The company plans to raise the capacity to another 25,000 TPA. The project is to be commissioned in the financial year 2017-18. As of September 2016, the project is in the planning stage.
