'Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam is planning to set up a 220 kV substation at HSIIDC Rai, Sonipat, with 1x100 MVA 220/132 kV + 1x100 MVA 220/33 kV transformers, and 220 kV substation Sector-6, Sonipat with 2x100 MVA, 220/33 kV transformers. The project is being implemented with a loan received from International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). As of July 2013, the company has invited bids for setting up the project.
