Lanco Babandh Power is setting up 2,640 MW (4 x 660 MW) coal-fired thermal power station at Khurunti village in Dhenkanal district. The project will be implemented in two phases of 2 x 660 MW in each phase. As of September 2013, the company has enter into a pact with Coal India for coal supply for its first unit of 660 MW
