Damodar Valley Corporation is planning to enter electricity distribution in eight districts of the State with financial support from World Bank. The identified districts include Bokaro, Giridih, Dhanbad, Palamau, Ramgarh and others. As of September 2013, DVC has initiated the process of appointing a consultant as mandated by World Bank. Developments may be seen in the first quarter of 2014.
