Videocon is planning to set up an integrated steel along with coal based captive power at Jamuria in West Bengal. As of October 2013, the project is in the planning stage. Work on the project is expected to commence early next year. The project was delayed earlier due to land acquisition issues, non-receipt of necessary approvals, and non-receipt of coal linkages for the project.
