JSW Steel joint venture with Marubeni Itochu Steel Inc is planning to set up a steel processing centre in Pune. The proposed facility will manufacture 180,000 tpa of flat steel products such as hot rolled, cold rolled and coated products which finds application in automotive, white goods and construction industry. The capacity will be doubled in the phase II. As of October 2013, the project is in the planning stage.
