Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation is planning to set up a 100 MW Sainj hydroelectric project in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.The project comprises a diversion barrage on the river near Niharni village, and an underground powerhouse on the right bank of the river near Suind village. As of October 2013, work on the project has commenced.
