Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam is planning to take up expansion by addition of 2x660 MW (Phase-II) Supercritical TPP in Rajasthan. Environmental clearance for 2x600 MW (Stage-I) Coal Based TPP was accorded in the February 2009 and is in the constructional stage. As of October 2013, the project has received first level of environment clearance from Ministry of Environment and Forests.
