Kerala State Electricity Board undertake Civil Works of 3x8 MW Bhoothathankettu Small Hydro Electric Project in Ernakulam district of the state. As of October 2013, the state electricity board has invited bids from companies for the successful completion and commissioning of the HEP in addition to the Design, Fabrication, Delivery, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Intake Gates, Trash rack, Draft Tube Gates, etc.
