Gujarat State Electricity Corporation is planning to set up a 50 MW solar thermal power in Gujarat. As of November 2013, Gujarat State Electricity Corporation has invited bids for providing consultancy Services for carrying out the feasibility study and preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for setting up of Solar Thermal Plant of about 50 MW capacity with storage facility so that generation can be made available throughout the day.
