Rail Vikas Nigam, which is implementing the Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation's metro railway project has invited bids for work related to Noapara (excluding)-Baranagar-Dakshineshwar section. The work involves construction of PSC viaduct, embankment and stations including E&M works in connection with extension of metro railway line between Ch 2,591 mtr to Ch 6,373 mtr for Noapara (excluding)-Baranagar-Dakshineshwar section of Kolkata metro railway. This is a part of the metro rail project that will start from Howrah railway station to Salt Lake in length of 14.67 km with a total of 12 stations.
