National Hydroelectric Power Corporation is planning to set up wind farm power unit in Kerala. As of January 2014, the company has signed an agreement with the Kerala government for the proposed project. About 500 acres of land also has been identified for developing the project. The project, being set up under the Build, Operate, Own and Transfer basis, will be funded by the NHPC.
