NHAI is planning to take up two laning of 175 km road stretch on the NH12A connecting Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh through Mandla to Chilpi in Chhattisgarh. The project was announced under Phase-IV National Highway Development Programme (NHDP) to be executed on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT)-Annuity basis on Design, Build, Finance, Operate (DBFO) Pattern. As of January 2014, the Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC) has cleared the investment proposal.
