Ashoka Buildcon, has formed a consortium with GVR Infra Projects to develop the State Highway from Mudhol to Maharashtra Border. As of February 2014, Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project has awarded the project to the consortium to develop the project on design, build, finance, operate, maintain and transfer (DBFOMT) basis.
