Chango Yangthang Hydro Power, a Special Purpose Vehicle promoted by Malana Power is planning to set up a 180 MW hydro power manufacturing unit in Himachal Pradesh. The Hydroelectric project which envisage construction of a 47 m high (above deepest foundation level) and 27 m high (above river bed level) concrete gravity dam will provide live storage capacity of 1.83 MCM and has design energy generation of 727.75 MU. The first unit of the project is expected to be completed in the 56 months from the zero date (April 2015). The second and third unit is scheduled to be completed in the 57th and 58th month.
