Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation is planning to take up development of Suliyari Belwar coal block in Singrauli coal fields in Madhya Pradesh. The coal produced from the Suliyari block is required to be supplied to various power stations of Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO). The block was explored and a geological report was prepared by the Mineral Corporation. The mining plan, project report, and EMP were prepared by Singareni Collieries Company and have been submitted to the central government for approval. As of February 2014, Bids have been invited for selection of mine developer-cum-operator for operation, development, mining of the coal block.
