National Thermal Power Corporation is planning to set up a coal based thermal power project at Bundelkhand in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The project will be executed in four units and each unit will have 660 MW capacity. Half of the total electricity generated from the plant will be supplied to the state government. As of March 2014, pre project activities are underway.
