Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is planning to take up four laning of Amritsar-Bhatinda section of NH-15 in Punjab with a 174.640 km length. in public private partnership model. As of March 2014, the Public Private Partnership Approval Committee (PPPAC) has granted approval for the project.
