Power & Electricity Department, Mizoram is planning to take up Melriat-Lunglei transmission line in Mizoram. As of March 2014, bids have been invited for construction of 132 kV single circuit transmission line on tower from Melriat substation to Lunglei substation, on turnkey basis. The selected EPC contractor would be responsible for survey completion and physical construction of transmission line project(s) involving tower foundation, erection, stringing, including supply of transmission line tower.
