Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power, a joint venture of NLC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Uttpadan Nigam has been allotted the Pachwara South Coal Block with an Indicated Reserves of 279 MT in Dumka District of Jharkhand State for mining. The produced coal would cater to the needs of the company's upcoming y, Ghatampur Thermal Power Station (GTPS) in Ghatampur Tehsil, Kanpur Nagar District of Uttar Pradesh. As of March 2014, environment clearance for the project is underway.
