Rashtriya Ispat Nigam is planning to set up a seamless tube mill at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, in Andhra Pradesh. As of March 2014, the company has invited for prospective joint venture partners for installation of a seamless tube mill. The product range includes 5.5" to 18" OD (with a provision to produce additional 0.1 million tpa in the size range 2.0"-5.0" OD in future by installation of additional facilities for which space provision is made in the layout) catering petroleum and gas sectors, boiler tubes (including T91 / T92 special grades), mechanicals etc, covering API, ASTM and other International standards.
