Damodar Valley Corporation is planning to take up a railway infrastructure for its upcoming thermal power project in Raghunathpur. The project is a part of the company's Raghunathpur coal-based power project involves setting up of the power plant in two stages. As of April 2014, RITES, on behalf of DVC has invited bids for earthwork in formation including blanketing, construction of bridges, permanent way linking works including supply of permanent way fittings and track ballast for the project.
