Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation is planning to develop 191 MW Thana Plaun hydroelectric project on river Beas in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. As of April 2014, HPPCL has invited bids for for work related to consultancy services for Thana Plaun hydropower project. The construction of this project would start in 2015 and completed in four years.
