Balaji Phosphates is planning to set up a small scale plant for the manufacture of single super phosphate (SSP) in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh. The company would utilize outsourced sulphuric acid and rock phosphate for producing SSP . As of May 2014, the company has applied to the Ministry of Environment and Forests for issue of terms of reference (TOR) for conducting environment impact assessment studies on the project.
