Reliance Industries - Hazira Manufacturing Division is planning to set up a 360 MW coal based captive co generation power plant within its existing complex. The project also involves setting up a coal jetty at Tapi estuary to bring the coal through sea route for its use as a fuel for proposed CCPP. As of May 2014, environment clearance for the project is underway.
