Chloride Metals is planning to take up expansion and modernization activity for lead recovery activity at its existing unit in Khed district. The project involves )Installation of oxy fresh burner for rotary Furness, installation of nano filtration plant for acid recovery from scrap battery , modification of battery breaking plant, extension of battery breaking and rotary shed and shed for covered storage for lead bearing residue. As of May 2014, the state pollution control board has given consent for the project.
