Haryana Power Generation Corporation is planning to set up a 600 MW coal fired thermal power project in Yamunagar. As of June 2014, Ministry of coal has allocated Kalyanpur-Badalpara coal block in Jharkhand, which will partially meet the fuel requirements of the project.
