Northeast Frontier Railway is implementing the Jiribam-Imphal railway line in two phases. In Phase-I, the work will be undertaken on Jiribam-Tupul section of the railway line whereas in Phase-II, work will be undertaken on the section between Tupul and Imphal. about 112 minor bridges, six major bridges, three road over-bridges (ROB) and two road under-bridges (RUB) will be constructed for this project. Phase I will be commissioned ion March 2016 while phase II will be commissioned in March 2018
