Shri Balaji Sugars and Chemicals is setting up a 3500 TCD sugar plant in Bijapur district in North Karnataka. The first phase of the project is planned to be commissioned in March 2014. First phase would consist of 3500 TCD sugar plant and 18 MW cogeneration unit while in the second phase it is planned to be integrated with a 45 klpd distillery. The Company has acquired 100 acre of the 200 acre land required for the project.
