GSPC LNG, a Joint Venture of GSPC and Adani group is planning to set up a LNG re-gasification terminal at Mundra in Gujarat. The terminal will have two LNG storage tanks. It will have LNG receiving, re-gasification and gas evacuation facilities. In February 2013, the company has invited global bids to select an EPC contractor for executing the project. In July 2014, the company got approval to become a co-developer of the multi- product special economic zone (SEZ) being developed by Adani Ports at Mundra. As of August 2014, Commerce Ministry's Board of Approvals (BoA) gave nod to GSPC LNG's proposal to 5 million tons a year LNG terminal together with storage and re-gasification facilities over an area of 28 hectares.
