National Highways Authority of India is planning to take up eight laning Mukarba Chowk-Panipat NH-1 section in Haryana. As of August 2014, NHAI has invited bids for design, engineering, construction, development, finance, operation and maintenance of NH-1 (new NH-44) at km 15.500 – km 86.00 on BOT (Toll) basis.
