South Eastern Coalfields is taking up a railway line project on the east-west corridor of the Bhupdevpur-Korichapar- Dharamjaigarh line, from Gevra Road to Pendra Road. As of August 2014, CARE has been assigned the task of preparation of the financial appraisal report for the project which is expected to be completed by mid September 2014. While CARE is preparing the financial appraisal report, SECL is progressing with the pre-construction activities and is hopeful of obtaining the Stage-I & Stage-II forest clearances by December 2014. Construction work is expected to commence in January 2015.
