Government of Himachal Pradesh planning to develop the 960 MW Jangi-Thopan-Powari Hydro Power project on the Satluj River basin in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. As of August 2014, bids have been invited for the implementation of the following Hydro-electric Project in Private Sector on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis through ICB Route.
