Azure Clean Energy, a special purpose vehicle promoted by Azure Power India is setting up a 40 MW solar PV based power project in Nandiya Kalan & Hardhani villages in Baori Tehsil of Jodhpur district in the state of Rajasthan.The power generated from the proposed solar power plant shall be evacuated through a 132 kv transmission line to Bhawad sub-station of Rajasthan Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (RVPNL) located approximately 23 km from the project site.The company has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India ("SECI") for 25 years. As of September 2014, IFC has offered a term loan amounting to Rs. 850 million. The construction phase is expected to start in September 2014.
