Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores is expanding its Ferro Ally Plant at Hanumanhalli village, Danapur Mandal, Hospet Taluk, Bellary District of Karnataka with an investment of Rs.53000 million. The project comprises, 140 sq.mtrs Sinter Plant, 0.60 MTPA Coke oven plant [One By Product Recovery - Stamp Charge Type Coke Oven battery of 4.3m height, 78 ovens in two blocks (39 ovens in each block) with wet quenching of coke & matching by product recovery facilities], 550 cum Blast Furnaces (02 Nos, 600 TPD Pig Casting Machine , Steel Melt Shop (BOF) comprising 2 Nos. 60 tons LD Converters with matching 2 Nos. ladle furnaces & one 2 x 4 strand billet Caster, A two strand wire rod mill, 40 MW (2 x 20 MW) Power Plant based on waste Heat Recovery, 40 MW Coal based power plant and a 500 TPD Air Separation Plant (ASP). As of September 2014, environment clearance for the project is underway.
