Extra High Voltge Cable (110 KV up to 500 KV)

A leading supplier in extra-high voltage wire and cable, Taihan has successfully developed in 1976 the 154KV of cable, the ninth in the world and the first time in Korea. Since that time on we have intensified our effort in investment and technical skill building, producing the 154KV XLPE, 354KV of cable for domestic and overseas markets. In response to the ever-increasing power coonsumption and the expansion of extra-high voltage cable demand, Taihan expanded the production in 1996.

Capacity by building the 125-meter high VCV tower, the tallest in the world, and adding a plant capable of producing upto 500KV XLPE extra-high voltage cable. In the area of accessories we succeeded in import substitution of 154KV of cable connectors (in 1988), followed by 345KV of cable, 154KV XLPE and 230KV XLPE cable connectors. All of these products underwent type tests performed by international certification organizations and are awaiting commercial launches. In addition, we are leading the areas of epoxy insulators used for extra high voltage GIS and epoxy bushing for large-sized equipment.
